The manager that was dealing with a return of a Hoover carpet cleaner on the eve of Oct5th has no concept of customer service/satisfaction. As a long time loyal customer of Canadian Tire, giving a significant amount of business to the Walker Road store, both professionally and personally, I will not be returning. I hope the denial of the $30.00 discount requested for a price match on another model to make up for selling a defective product and inconveniencing a loyal customer, was worth it. WOW!
We ordered online and went to pick it up at the curb side pickup (a service they currently advertise due to the current Covid pandemic). We called the number on the sign posted at the dedicated pickup spot 5 times and no one answered. Finally my husband went inside. Not all the items were in the bag, so he asked about it. They said they didn’t have two dumbbells, so they gave us one and charged us for one without bringing it to his attention. He then had to go to customer service to return.
I spent over 500.00 dollars today at the walker store today, but I first had to return a mailbox that had purchased before, but my friend fixed my old one so I did not need this other one but could not find my receipt for it and the would not take it back, because I did not have receipt for 24.00 , I must have paid cash for it, so I had to take it back hope and put it in the basement, collecting dust. Brought my car in for a new battery and oil changed $440.00! A few days after my battery light was on and a message,saying battery saver activated. So I brought it back but the problem was now the cranck shaft seal. When they called me to tell me it needed to be replaced they also recommended some other parts as well. NO ONE SAID IF YOU DONT GET THESE OTHER PARTS IT WILL BLOW THE SEAL AGAIN! COSTED ME OVER 300.00 DOLLARS! NO kind of warranty total waste of my time and money
Made an appointment at this store about a week ago. Was told the work would take about 2 hours. Tonight, when I showed up at four, I was told, “It’s going to take four hours – we’ll call you.”
At 9:00, after receiving no call, we showed up at the store. Were told “We can’t give you the car because it’s up on a hoist with the tires off it.”
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
