PH Spa and Salon is owned and operated by Curt Kussmann. We employ 10 highly trained staff specializing in the various services offered. PH has been in business since 1972 when Curt's father first opened the doors at Oxford and Adelaide St. in London, Ontario. The salon was moved to 1180 Oxford St. W. where it remained until the spring of 2005. Curt moved to the new location across the street at Oxford and Hyde Park Rd. This was not the beginning of the family business. Curt's Family has been in the salon business for 100 years. His Great-Grandfather and Great-Grandmother owned a salon in Berlin as did two succeeding generations. I have been going to PH Spa & Salon for about 8 months now. I take advantage of Breanne's eye lash extensions and waxing. Bre is professional and talented. She seems to genuinely enjoy what she does for a living. It is her service and skill that keeps me cming back!
I also have had my hair lightened by Amanda. Also a very talented and sweet girl. I recommend this salon to anyone looking for a pleasant and beautiful experience.
I have never had reason to complain about this salon. The only thing I would like to see improve is the owners level of friendliness. He tends to be almost cold. However, the girls working are fantastic!
I was recently recommended to PH Spa & Salon for their colour expertise and esthetics. I came to them with a difficult hair challenge, I had had a very bad colour from another shop and on top of it a really bad cut. PH not only corrected my bad colour to exactly what I wanted but also managed to blend the bad haricut in such a way that I would never have known it was ever there! The shop is very pleasant and staff were incredibly attentive - they also brought me a Starbucks! I took the opportunity to have a pedicure while I was waiting for my colour....The pedicure was amazing! I almost fell asleep during the foot massage! They took great care of me and I was so relieved when I was finished. I'd highly recommend them to anyone and do...OFTEN!
I have now been to this place twice and had two terrible experiences. The first time I decided to try it for eyebrow waxing, not only did the woman do a TERRIBLE job, refuse to do the top of my eyebrows or thin them out, she also accidentally poured wax on my eye lid (twice!) and then it was very painful as she tried to figure out how to get it off ... months later they had a deal on pedicures so I decided to give it one final try. I brought an out of town friend for their "express pedicure", granted we should have asked ahead of time what it included but $35 fro someone to file for 5 minutes and then do a poor job painting toe nails is OUTRAGEOUS (it chipped within a couple days and my firends was uneven with clealry old nailpolish). I can do a better job myself. You can get way better deals and service at places that are way nicer. I was embarassedf for having taken my friend there. This salon has been a HUGE dissapointment all around, there are way better places in London, save your money!.
