I went to Scruples to get my hair cut, highlighted and styled. I was tired of my natural black hair and wanted to change my look. My haircut was done by Giancarlo, who helped make my thick, bulky looking hair look much more soft and not as heavy as it felt. My highlights and styling was done by Alexandria and I absolutely loved the job she did! She helped me achieve the look I wanted. I got my eyebrows and upper lip threaded. It cost six dollars in total, which is great considering that I'd be spending fifteen dollars to get them waxed at other salons. It was difficult to communicate with staff, but the owner translated for the girl when needed. It was my first time getting threaded in years, so they taught me what to do. They seemed a little taken back when I gave them a four dollar tip, but very appreciative. It was quiet, but we were in and out. Read more
