I have ordered out on numerous occasions from Greek To Go and every time I have been impressed with polite service and AMAZING food. The chicken salad has got to be the best I've ever tasted, FRESHLY (in front of my eyes) grilled chicken on top of a fresh salad topped with a delicious dressing!! Even their heavier souvlaki platters always hit the spot and are as fresh as if they had been prepared in my own kitchen. I couldn't ask for a better Greek experience. Read more

An out of the way little house that looks like a local take out pizza joint. Walk in and there are a few tables. Sit down and order and get some of the best Italian food I have had in Ottawa. Ask what the special is, you never know. We stared wit a sausage appetizer that is to die for, flavorful and spiced just right. There were 6 of us so we all ordered different things and tried each others. There was not a loser in the bunch. Skip the insalata, it is just greens on a plate. The veal picatta was outstanding and the pastas were great. Get the house wine, the night we were there it was a very good valpolicella. Been twice in the past month-once for dinner and a lunch. The space is small and has been busy but accomodating on both occasions. You can buy fresh fish to take home from a counter as you come in. They serve a basket of warm little grainy rolls to start along with glasses of water. My companion's halibut, declared the best ever, sat perched on julliened veggies with a light citrus sauce as the days special. My jumbo shrimps were perfectly done in a garlic sauce. The glasses of wine were more generous than one usually finds. The fish and chips came with fresh cut fries and a small homemade coleslaw. Nice and crispy. Our only disappointments were a cup of lobster bisque-thin broth vs the creamy concoction I was expecting(Maybe I don't know bisque) and crab cakes which came as two large balls with a uniform minced texture. Hard to tell it was crab but tasted ok-Generally everything coming from the kitchen looked wonderful. Read more

I had the pleasure of dining with 5 of my colleagues at the Fraser Cafe on August 15th, 2017. Our customer experience was absolutely amazing. Not only was the food delicious with many interesting choices, but the service was incredible. I cannot say enough about this lovely little restaurant tucked away in New Edinburgh in Ottawa. This restaurant is not huge space but has an amazing relaxed atmosphere with a touch of upscale elegance. A must try for sure. Read more

This restaurant is such a contradiction. It has the potential to become the best restaurant in Ottawa (if not the country). All the elements are in place. Awesome, atmosphere, great staff (mostly), and good food. The only stick in the ointment is a single toxic personality in the guise of a server, who seems intent on destroying all of that and ensuring that you never come back. She's a bit older than the other servers (who are all excellent), but this is not about age. Irene's up the road seems like an older crowd of patrons and servers, but they are awesome...but I digress, this not about Irene's, I just wanted to show that the contradiction at Patty's boils down to one personality. It's a real pity, because everything and everyone else there is out of this world. Read more
