After shopping a friend and I decided we were having a fish and chip craving so we decided to try the Bells Corners location for the first time. It was relatively busy on a Wednesday afternoon at 1p.m-a good sign. We had the haddock and chips-excellent -with crispy fries, good tiny coleslaw and yummy tartar sauce, lemon wedge. Fast and friendly service with an open style kitchen-you can see what they are doing in there. Everything coming from the kitchen looked good and no fishy smell when you go in like some places. Many places are fit for different occasions but I believe that Stephanie's is a restaurant for any occasion from a business meeting to a birthday party. The atmosphere is warm and keeps the costumer in the mood for some good hearty food. The elevated table positions make the costumer feel more important, but could be a nuisance to older people. The only thing about the decor that striked me as negative were the ugly-green coloured chairs. I arrived earlier during dinner service so I guess I caught the staff off guard and that is why I had to seat myself. When the server did arrive however, he was very polite and showed much professionalism. He was there for me when i needed him and disappeared when I didn't. Fantastic job on his part. My dish arrived faster than i anticipated. Presentation was fair, and rather appealing to the eyes. The texture of the lamb as well as the taste made for a very nice experience during every bite. I was not a fan of the false advertising of scalloped potatoes thought. I would say i was served sliced and spiced potatoes which I enjoyed none the less. Overall a very nice plate. The dishes at Stephanie's are conservative in size so do not expect to be going home with leftovers. To end off the experience they have a vast selection of cakes and pies to satisfy every palate. Be warned however, they will bring every cake to the table. I would suggest to the staff, 1 slice of each on a tray to bring to the table instead so that the process of choosing doesn't take a lifetime. As you can see it isn't perfect but I believe Stephanie's is a swell place to bring your sweetheart for a date or your boss for a meeting. The price is reasonable and you get what you pay for. It is definitely a place to visit when you're in town. Read more

I have to prempt everything that I am going to say with I did enjoy the food so much that I may go there again for dinner (am on contract in the area). The hot and sour sea-food soup appeared to be small, but when the flavours filled my mouth, and I discovered 3 large cleaned shrimp (only tail bit remaining) I'm happy to say I'm quite pleased with this selection. The mango salad was not available as a 'plain' mango salad, but also came with shrimp, making it $5-$7 more than I usually pay for mango salad. Again the shrimp were large, clean and fresh (good 'bite', not soggy at all), but the dressing seemed made at the last minute and didn't contain the rich complexity that the soup did. I went there with no expectations, and was agreeably surprised. Service was fast. We made our first order (a mix of many things) and everything was brought to the table as it was ready so we were able to start eating. Food was great; service was great. We did order a bit too much too fast, so a tip would be to not order too much food at first, and to re-order more often smaller quantities. I'm not a huge sushi connoisseur; but for the average person looking for sushi and bang for your buck, this place is great. Their Saturday lunch all-you-can-eat is only 14.99. Read more
