Wow! I so wish I lived closer to this pearl of a restaurant! My cousin and I ate there when we were on holiday and we were VERY impressed with the quality, taste, and variety of dishes. The waitress was helpful, friendly, and patient as we tried to make decisions about our choices. She was able to describe how dishes were made, and was extremely helpful in the decision-making process! The pizza was excellent and my cousin raved about her salad. The desserts looked too tempting to miss even though we'd really had plenty to eat.... so my cousin had the carrot cake and I had the tiramisu. It was "the tiramisu" - the best I've ever tasted and I am still dreaming about it - it was so incredibly delicious; not too sweet, lots of flavour, just the right blend of rich and moist. My cousin loved her carrot cake too, and we both heartily recommend this little restaurant to anyone who has the good fortune to be nearby. You won't be sorry! Read more

We order from Hot Oven once a week. This pizza is deep dish. You get a huge amount of toppings for the money unlike the chain pizza places. All the toppings are fresh and you can taste the difference immediately. Even the crust is good with the honey glaze. I usually don't eat the crust edges from the chain stores but when I get Hot Oven I have to eat it all. It's that good. Do yourself a favor and support the little guy who still cares about quality! I can't bring myself to order from pizza chains anymore since we discovered this place. Only thing I'd like to see is a seafood pizza on the menu. I recommend the Orient duck pizza, Hot Oven Select or Tropic Thunder (if you like spicy). Read more

We have been eating here for many years. The food is consistently good and the service friendly and efficient. The decor is friendly and and comfortable and the service personable . Parking, on the street, is usually available nearby and is free. Some dishes (ie full rack of lamb and some multi-course specials) cost over $25, but are good buys. Sunday special is a 3 course Roast Beef and Yorkshire (a small town in Northern Italy????} Pudding. Very good. Victor the Mtr'd, and one of the owners, is very Italian, and fun. Tried this place out with my mom for her Birthday dinner and we both enjoyed our meals. Nice drink combinations too. Came back with a friend and a Groupon, but I made a mistake about reading the fine print amd they were sincerely gracious when I was paying the bill. It was appreciated. Well, what can I say. I fell in love with my now husband on a first date here! The atmosphere was warm, the servers were attentive, and the food and wine was amazing! We enjoyed many of the tapas plates. Great value and very tasty! If you know the area, it is very close to shops on Robson Street, yet still tucked away in its own little private location.
