The Cheshire Cat Pub is a unique British style pub just outside of Kanata. When you walk in past the red telepone booth, it feels really authentic with the unusual "kitch" that you would find in pubs in England. We were just there, and found that they had taken off most of there regular drafts to replace them with Ontario craft beers. My husband was sad to not have a pint of Erdinger, but we learned that they were doing this to honour Ontario Craft Brew Week and found ourselves trying The Flying Monkey and a pint of Neustad 10w30 (beers I had never heard of!) Good for them we thought! We also learned that most of the menu incorporates local produce, meat and dairy. Anyway, the food was amazing! Pub fare, but with serious style. I had the Chicken Curry, my husband had the hamburger special and our friends both had the fish and chips. The service was friendly and laid back and the owner came up to introduce himself and made us feel like we had been coming for years. It was hopping busy! This is truly one of those places that we will return to time and time again! We can't believe we waited this long to come in! Read more

For years my family of four and I have been ordering food from Lucky Dragon by delivery. We shave been BEYOND impressed by our delivery service, the delivery man is ALWAYS on time with a huge smile on his face and over all positive and happy vibe. After telling our delivery man that we've never been inside the physical location before he suggested that we go in and eat, so the following week we did. We were automatically seated by an Asian lady with bright red hair, she seemed nice and greeted us with small talk etc,. When we were ready to order we had to wait sevrel minutes even though we were the only table, the Lady(whom seems to be the owner) was to preoccupied with her phone. When she finally came over, we had a couple questions and she seemed annoyed to be answering them. After we got our food a couple more tables came in and it got louder and she turned up the music, I called her over to ask if she could turn this Spanish repetitive dance music down a bit considering my two kids were getting a bit cranky and she rolled her eyes and shot a mean glare to my TODDLERS and kept the music at the same level. Nice touches on their meals. Portions are not over sized, which is good if you don't want to overeat! I've had veal parmigiane (sp?) and the salmon with some unique sauce. The vegetables have been spectacular both times and like I said before, the presentation is pleasing. The house wine (by the glass) is decently priced and quite good. It is a bit pricey though. I would only go back for a very special occasion with my husband. It is a very romantic atmosphere. I am looking forward to going again. Read more

Pretty good shawarma place in Kanata. I usually get the platter as opposed the the wrap. Good amount of food for the money. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The chicken and beef are both pretty good. I've had the donair and it tends to be a little dry and the chicken or beef shawarma are so much better. The garlic potatoes are very good if you get them fresh (which the usually are). If they've been sitting around a while the tend to be very oily. The sauces and sides are pretty much the norm. The food is fantastic! The cesear salad is so good, probably the best Ive ever had. The firecracker chicken wraps are to die for. After dinner we went outside for a smoke, and when we returned our table had been cleared so the waitress apologized, gave us a new table and new drinks.
