A bit pricey, but really a wonderful experience overall. One thing to note is the two-hour limit on dining, which is best to know about in advance. Great place to grab a breakfast. The portion is adequate, not overloaded unlike Eggspectation. I chose the Egg's Benedict and it was really good. The potatoes, in my opinion, are by far the best one in miles comparing to Allo Mon Coco and Eggspectation. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. Pricing is also decent and the service is a bit slow a the beginning. All that wait is worth it just for the potatoes. Will visit again! Read more

I first visited Allen's back in the 80's, not long after it opened, and I was instantly smitten. So much so, in fact that I moved into the neighbourhood! First I was a regular, then a nuisance, and finally a piece of furniture. I finally moved back to Markham in 1998, and cannot justify going anywhere south of Steeles Avenue without stopping into Allen's for lunch. The food is imaginative, superbly prepared, and so delicious, that even when I'm full, I often look at the menu again, just to see what I'll be ordering on my next visit! And the patio?
