We ordered the Beef tenderloin crostini, pork belly, baby back ribs, and black cod. The pork belly was the crispest and least fatty that I've ever had, it was spectacular. The flavors on the crostini were very good, the cherry chutney and dijon aioli went very well together. And the ribs... much better than any I've had at a Ribfest. My GF said the black cod was the tastiest fish she had ever had. The ambiance is nice cottage country, the dining room intimate with only four tables. A definite repeat!. Read more

This place was bustling on the beautiful sunny day we headed over, and I now know why. Everything about this place was great! The server was smiley and took great care to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was fresh and tasty, and sitting outside in the fresh air with the lovely park and lake view was unbeatable. The french fries are so good, they don't need ketchup! I have been going to Dolce Bella for 3 years, and must say they consistently offer very exceptional service. As a rock climber, my back is often kinked or sore. For this reason I go to Dolce Bella primarily for their massages. Laurie is great, and remembers which areas I usually have the most problems with. I always leave feeling extremely relaxed and relieved. Last week I had a wedding to attend, and therefore had a mani and a pedi done. They were very gentle yet effective. Being a climber I have many calluses on my hands, and the scrubs and treatments the esthetician used on me left them feeling soft and hydrated. In my opinion, Dolce Bella is one of the best spas in Kingston, I would definitely recommend them. Read more

I read all the reviews prior to making reservations there. It seemed to me that the bad reviews were from folks that did not know what to expect and were surprised when they got there. The web page is quite clear of the menu and venue. I saw it and was not surprised when I got into the restaurant. We went for dinner before a show at the NAC. The server was at our table promptly and even asked if we were going to a show so that she could ensure our service and food would allow us plenty of time to get to the show. Very thoughtful and the service remained top notch throughout. Our appetizers were great. Our dinners were very good, the fish was fresh, the steak was done exactly as asked, the duck confit melted in your mouth except for the crispy skin...which was perfect. The sides were appropriate for the meal and also delicious but the 3 root vegetable mash that came with the Duck was extraordinary and deserves mention..Some had desserts which were declared as a real treat. We were in and out in time for our show but never hurried or short changed in our dinner. A very good experience overall. Pricey? Well, it was everything that was posted on the web page so no surprised at all. A very good spot with very good food and caring , professional servers. Just what you want for a good night out. Not sure what to expect but the food was amazing! All of us are Caribbean(descent or born) & tried some of the jerk items on the menu. All of the positive comments were compared to what we have eaten from our various islands & the chef(s) there would be welcomed to our islands anytime with open arms!
