Though the place doesn't look the most appealing, the food is great and incredibly cheap. You can get the "lunch" specials anytime of the day. The server is polite, but don't expect to get much more then your order taken and your food delivered. The food was very fast and fresh, and tasted great. I never expect I can find a place where you can have a good food and service. First time when I went in Lotus Garden for lunch, I was little worry about place because outside sings were looked old. But i was surprised the food and service were excellent. Especially the Slat and pepper Chicken wing and Crispy Squid, on My gosh, they are amazing . At the same time, their service were friendly and they can play jokes with you. just like you are their friend. their atmosphere is very suitable for eating and you can relax. especially the classic Chinese music, really interesting and enjoyable. We went to this place with our kids. The servers were friendly and attentive.The decor is simple, just like the Japanese style. We loved the foods we ordered - authentically Japanese with fresh sashimi and the salad was really good.The tempura was really crunchy and tasty.The cold tempura soba was authenically Japanese. I wasnt able ro visit the location in person, however the correspondence over the phone and courtesy was amicable for a four star rating on atmosphere. I didnt feel rushed even though I had many questions before and while placing my order and hope to bring my family into the restaurant to dine next time so we can honestly give five stars all across the board. I had my reservations about dining here as it's been at least 2 years since I've been to this Momiji location. However, my usual sushi places were closed on Labour Day, they had Lunch Specials goin' on, so why not? I ordered Sushi Bento (4 nigiri, 6 spicy salmon, 4 tempura) which was $10.50. My bf had Sushi Combo (6 cali, 7 nigiri), $11.50. And we added the Alaska Roll - $7.95 - we didn't think that we'd have enough food. Both Lunch Specials were AMAZING value, including miso soup + salad. So we didn't need the Alaska Roll. Fish was pretty fresh, no pieces fell apart, detailed presentation, good service - having our tea refilled without asking! I have never been here for Dinner, but Lunch Specials are until 3:30pm and GREAT VALUE. So if you're in the Clarkson area, check this place out! Read more

We both ordered Tempura Udon. The food was no doubt one of the best in Toronto with regards to quality and quantity. Server was okay and service was good. However the other guy behind the counter was snobbish. My friend called for the bill and signalled the guy. The guy just looked at my friend for a few seconds not showing any acknowledgement or emotion which made us think this was something. He just moved away from the counter and continued doing what he was doing. Our server came with the bill shortly and I asked if her colleague understood my friend. We then realized that the guy did understand my friend's request for the bill but he did not show a bit of reaction or acknowledgement. I consider that disrespectful. A little thing. We sat on the long sofa. It was comfortable but due to the depth of the sofa it was hard to sit down and get up considering it took so much space under the table. Read more
