Visited today for lunch.I was welcomed with a smile from the waitress as I stepped inside.Very nicely decorated white & navy blue decor.Very clean.Waited over 5 min for menu.Bit irritated as there were only 2 other people there & guess it was the cook that was visiting at their table,who looked at me like I was bothering her.Smiley came over,gave me a menu & I ordered coffee.She returned shortly & I ordered fish & chips as saw a good review about it.When it came it looked more like tiny chicken fingers.It tasted ok,didn't look like any fish I'd ever had before.Fries were really good & lots.One of the best coffee's.I really should have gotten the special as 4 others came-in & all ordered soup & sandwich.I will return as I did enjoy atmosphere & it was quiet.Will get special next time. I was hoping that the dishes would have been more authentic Chinese. The Sichuan chicken with mixed vegetables was not spicy at all, a total disappointment. Being Sichuan, I was hoping for a spicy, hot dish. It was pretty bland. When I mentioned this to the hostess, she said that we could have ordered it spicy. I attended Montana's Cookhouse with my Brother and Girlfriend last week and expected good quality food and service. I expected it because Montanas Cookhouse i widely recognized and I have also attended it before and loved it. I suggest coming here for a dinner or lunch because you receive great food for a low cost. I ordered chicken penne which was 15$ and a coke for 3$, so for under 20$ I received an excellent meal and fast service. The environment is loud and upbeat giving you a fun experience. Read more

This place has since moved to 86 Dalhousie Street and has been renamed 'Pantry Cafe'. I had seen this place multiple times and decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! The place is really big, with ample room for moving and sitting. When you first walk in, there are really comfortable couches, with newspapers available, it is a great lounging area! The tables are cute and are far away from each other to allow for some privacy when dining. The menu selection is great! There are tons of items to choose from, and everything is made fresh.They have everything from omelettes to sandwiches to coffee and ice cream. I chose the chicken bruschetta panini with ceasar salad. The cost isn't too bad, only about $10, but it was well-worth it! I sat down and had to wait, maybe about 8 minutes, and the dish came. The server apologized as she had forgotten that they didn't have any croutons for my salad, so she gave me extra bacon, what a great touch! The bacon was good too, it wasn't that processed stuff, it was actually real bacon. The sandwich was AMAZING! It had cheese, lettuce, tomato, pesto sauce, and mayonnaise; the chicken was nice and moist, it was hot (temperature wise) and crunchy. The service is amazing as well, all of the people who work there are friendly and kind. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend you all try this place, you won't be disappointed! Read more
