There is a reason The Keg does so well. You always get great service, great food and great atmosphere regardless of which one you go to across Canada. This location is no exception. I have been to this place now at least 15 times over the past year and not once have I been disappointed. The Bean Bar is a really good low key restaurant in the Westdale neighbourhood. They provide an extensive menu with a wide variety to choose from at a reasonable price. The food is fantastic and comes in portions that are not overwhelming where you can't finish it - just perfect. I brought my parents here to see what it was like and it exceeded their expectations. I had the ham and maple cranberry wrap and it was terrific. Definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxed and mellow which is nice to have conversation. It's a good place for lunch or an early supper. The staff is super friendly so the service is great. If you're ever in Westdale, it's definitely worth checking out. Read more

I go here fairly regularly because this place does it up right. It's not a huge place and gets packed fairly easily, so there have been times when I simply haven't gotten in, but you snooze you lose. It is in an old victorian style home, taking up both floors. Downstairs seats a few tables and the main bar, while upstairs hosts a more casual atmosphere of games, chairs, etc....like you are in someones home. Decor is eclectic and funky, provides a nice touch to the visit. Service is always good to above average, the staff are trained well, know their beers well enough, and are always smiling. I've eaten here too many times to mention, but the wings are great, as is the cajun catfish sandwich. The wings are a great portion and the sauces are excellent. The catfish sandwich is spicy,savoury, very flavourful, well portioned, and well priced. I like that they have Boneshaker on tap on a regular basis. In fact, they only serve craft beer which speaks to the quality of the establishment. Clientele is a mix of somewhat obnoxious college hipsters and hippies that think they are re-living Woodstock for some reason, but I don't have to like them to like the place. Keep up the great work! Was in for a visit a couple of weeks ago to order a take out of their homemade pizza and was pleasantly surprised at the new addition to the bar and decor of the pub. I haven't been in the trap in about 6 months so it was refreshing to see some changes positive in nature. The place has been on Locke for years and every visit I have had only the best service. The staff are very accommodating and deal well with any request you may have. The Beasley House has a very warm and comfortable feeling as the dinning area only seats around 30 people. The menu offers a vast array of options and will suit the need of any type of customer. Anywhere from seafood and steak to hamburgers and fries, which is really helpful when dining with a larger, different group of people. The restaurant is especially appealing to me in the summer time as I spend a lot of time on Hamilton's trendy Locke street and the Beasley House is the only one with a patio??!!! We went about 4 p.m. for dinner and our experience was great.
