I dont understand the previous negative reviews...? I have been going here for years and the food has been always good. I have never received bad service. The service is average but never bad. Hey everybody, I went to Sushi Kaika the other day, had a craving for sushi. The place has really changed, since I last visited. Keep in mind even though my recent review was posted recently, I went there 8 months ago. We got our food very quickly, service was great, unlike before. We have a young son, 2 1/2 now, the waitress was talking to him and engaging him in conversation. I went the other day with a couple of friends and I have to say it was a nice cozy place to spend the day with a couple of friends. The sushi was tasty, the service was great. They were so polite and friendly. To the person below, this is Canada. Not Japan or anywhere else in Asia, where their specialties are Asian food. Also didn't help the fact you had high expectations going in which could have affected your overall impression. "Worst sushi" is not something I would use for this restaurant. I definitely recommend it for a night out with your friends and family or even just a lunch with a friend. Read more

I've been to several all you can eat sushi restaurants from Toronto to Hamilton and a few places in between--Futogenki is by far the best I've experienced. The food was very fresh and piping hot--and it was delicious! They also have a large selection of made to order Chinese food, which is included in the all you can eat menu. We used the take out service from the diner and they were very fast and actually FOUND our apartment, which is rare. The food is the best I've had from any asian restaurant. The selection on the menu is fabulous, offering dishes from several different areas. Nothing was greasy or overcooked. We will definetly eat here again. The food is amazing every time I go and is perfect for a special occasion or just for a nice dinner out.
