I am not vegetarian but I have always enjoyed the food at this restaurant. Last time, I had the potato apple gratin with sweet potato corn bread and it was one of the best tasting dishes I've had in a restaurant. I hope this restaurant is able to move to a bigger location soon as it is a bit cramped where they are now. It was very busy when my daughter and I were there for dinner, but that does not excuse them from trying to seat us at a dirty table. The waitress cleared cups from the table and then immediately put the menus and utensils down for us. I had to ask her to please wipe the table first! We also had to ask for our water glasses to be refilled when they were empty (which never impresses me in a restaurant....isn't that their job?) In spite of this, yes I would go back because the food is so delicious...they just need to focus a little more on providing the service people expect when they decide to dine out for an evening. (The deal is 3 veggies/1 cheese/1 protein). And add sunflower seeds or croutons and dressing of your choice. I love it cuz I can customize the salad to what I want and not a set combination. I get lunch at Nooners several times a week and have done so for at least 10 years (usually take-out). The food is always delicious - very fresh and homemade. Their soups and sandwiches are especially good (and the cookies....). I find the staff are always friendly, know regular customers by name (and their usual orders) and are very efficient despite the large number of people who are there for lunch every day. We decided to try Waldos for valentines dinner and was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I selected from the set menu and chose the steak. The appetizers were great, baked brie, smoked salmon salad and lobster bisque were all very nice. Our meal arrived and was cooked to perfection. The steak was exactly as we asked, asparagus was cooked perfectly as were the roasted potatoes. As our meal was to be followed by attending a play at the Grand Theatre, our time was limited. Joe, our server, was a great representative of the restaurant and ensured that we were served in a timely fashion. Time ran short and since we could not take the set dessert with us... Joe arranged for us to have a different dessert to take with us. Joe was a great guy who helped make the evening a success. The only suggestion would be for the restaurant to have complimentary roses for all the ladies in attendance. We will certainly return again soon. Read more
