Yep, its really that great! This is one of those staples in Lindsay, right on the main street, kinda small and understated; but once you've eaten here you will always come back. Jane's menu is simple, and enjoyable. Everything is always great, service included. They are very accommodating, and fairly priced. what can i say,,we absolutely love judy's place..we visit regularly and know the staff by first name. The staff are super nice and never have a problem substituting orders for my kids. The owner and cook always brings out a complimentary bowl of chocolate chip cookies for my kids everytime we eat there. the food is fantastic and the prices are great! as for decor, iv seen some other somewhat negative remarks in regards to it , but even tho its clearly not done by a interior designer, its comfortable and bright. You gotta love when you can go into a place and say i'll have the usual and the waitress knows exactly what and how you like it prepared. i definately recommend eating at judy's. Our soccer team and parents, a party of 30+, invaded for lunch and we were really impressed with the service, the food, the atmosphere, everything was amazing! The server, Hunter, remembered everyone's names, no ones orders were mixed up, the separate bills were all correct... A takeaway goat roti is $9. I do not understand how anyone put $60 per person. If you are eating in, the lunch special of say boneless chicken and a pop, is going to run you about the same. If I eat in at lunch I usually get a boneless chicken roti and a pop and a double and a pop. About $11 plus the tip for excellent service. This is my absolute favourite restaurant. I can agree that the location is not awesome but the food is wonderfully delicious. And plentiful. Read more

Being a Vegan for only 10 months I find it almost impossible to eat anywhere! We went to the Old Newcastle House and I was advised to try the veggie stir-fry. I have to admit I was hesitant, it was fabulous!!! I love to cook so therefore find it hard to find food I can say I love in most places!!! The company I was with also really enjoyed their food a lot! I have to say being OCD I always tend to look at the surroundings and this place is a little gem it is extremely clean ( which I love ) and beautifully decorated. I had an amazing time at this Diner. My friend recommended it to me. My friends and I went to the diner on the weekend it was a little packed but that was fine. The waitress showed us to a sit in the corner with a great big smile on her face and asking us how are day has been so far. It was my first time there so I asked the waitress what was one of her favorite things to eat here, she said the open faced hot turkey and the California scramble. So at her recommendations i picked the California scramble. It’s a toasted muffin with scrambled eggs with green peppers and tomatoes mixed into it with a little bit of hollandaise sauce and feta sprinkled onto it with home fries on the side. And not even 7 minutes later our food is all ready coming out to us; I couldn’t believe it came out so fast. It looked and tasted great. Read more
