The burgers at BBJ are delicious. Made with fresh, local ingredients, cooked to order. You can upgrade to premium toppings like goat cheese and portobello mushrooms, melts in your mouth. The portions are huge definitely a man sized burger. Fries and onion rings too. I have never seen such huge onion rings before. Beer battered and fantastic. Price, very reasonable for the sizes you get. I think it was $4.50 a burger to make it a combo it was $6.50. I can't say enough good things about Fishbone Bistro. Warm ambiance, comfortable seating, and the service made us feel like we were the only table in the room (although the restaurant was fairly full). We had a flaming sausage to start - delicious. The specials were incredible. I ordered a dish that I can't remember the name of, but it was similar to a light seafood stew in an herb broth. Delicious, perfectly cooked food and the flavour was out of this world. Highly recommended! My husband had the whole sea bass. The owner, Pedro, deboned the fish at the table and explained some things about Portuguese cuisine. My son had the steak, and the presentation was like nothing I had seen before! I've been telling everyone I know to check this place out. We didn't have time to try dessert (an excuse to go back)! Hearty portions, excellent wine, beautiful decor.... you have to try it! I went in a short while ago, and fell in love. The service is something very special. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. As for the food. I had chicken coconut soup, followed by Scallops and risotto. It was one of the top 3 meals I've ever experienced.
