When she was a kid, Beverly Bellevue used to draw outfits for her female characters. The six year-old envisioned her grown-up self to be wearing blazers and other power suits. Little did she know that two decades later, she’d actually become the stylish business owner of Be.U Stylists.
Despite her love for fashion, Beverly didn’t dive right into the world of fashion after her studies. When she graduated high school, she was encouraged to pursue a career that was more secure. Young and impressionable, Beverly oriented herself towards the noble profession of law and after earning her college diploma, she landed her first job as a paralegal. It wasn’t long before she re-assessed her career choice and decided to go back to school to study fashion. Her studies culminated with a four-month internship at the Jean Paul Gaultier headquarters in New York City. And while working in the iconic fashion brand’s showroom and prepping models to show new collections to buyers, Beverly realized what it was to live passionately.
