When an energy efficient window loses its seal, it begins to look foggy. You’ll know it when you see fog and condensation appear between the panes of what was once an energy efficient window. Whether you’ve got double or even triple-paned windows, you’ve got a seal that will likely lose its seal in time. Whether it’s an overzealous painter wielding a heat gun, a homeowner pressure washing his (or her) windows, the climate, or simply time can cause the window seal to fail. Big replacement window companies will tell you to replace the entire window, encasement and all, but is this always the solution? Or the most cost-effective answer? In some cases it will be necessary to replace the entire window however, in many cases there are alternatives.

For the last 12 years, Vern and Lisa Stacey have been the experts to call in Kincardine when your energy efficient windows lose their seal. Vern started his career as a Glazier replacing IGU (Insulated Glass Units) or thermal windows in the Kitchener Waterloo area back in the early 90’s moving the business to Kincardine in 2004. After many years of service with a franchise specializing in automotive, residential and commercial glass, Vern and Lisa decided to sell the automotive portion of the business and focus exclusively on residential and commercial window glass. more...
